SECRET so only this app can use it.What is WealthAim?
WealthAim keeps all your family's money in one place: shares, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed deposits and bonds, retirement accounts, crypto, cash and bank balances, loans, income and spending — across several portfolios (for example one per family member or HUF) and several countries.
It works out what everything is worth today, how much you have gained, your annual returns, tax figures, and technical signals on your shares — and it can pull trades straight from Zerodha, Interactive Brokers and Charles Schwab.
Two promises it always keeps:
- It never converts currencies. An Indian portfolio is shown in ₹, a US portfolio in $. When you look at all portfolios together you get one total per currency — never a mixed ₹ + $ number.
- Your personal numbers stay private. When an AI feature is used, only market facts (price, PE, market cap…) are sent — never your quantities, cost or profit.
Your first day — step by step (do these in order)
- Sign in on a laptop or desktop. Use your email and password on the login screen. Data entry works on a computer only — on a phone the app is view-only (see Using WealthAim on your phone).
- Set your display. Click Settings (gear at the bottom-left) → Display: choose your Base currency and Number format (Indian lakhs/crores or international).
- Create your portfolios. Click the Active portfolio box at the top of the left menu → ⚙ Manage portfolios…. Add one portfolio per person or entity (e.g. “Rahul Sharma”, “Priya Sharma”, “Sharma Family HUF”, “Rahul – US”) and give each its currency (₹ or $). A portfolio holds only one currency.
- Add your brokers. Invest → Master Data → Broker Names: add each broker or account you trade through (Zerodha, Charles Schwab, IBKR, your Roth IRA…). Trades are tagged with the broker so reports can be split by account.
- Bring in your holdings — pick whichever suits you (details in Part 2):
- Import past trades from your broker's files: Invest → Import Data (contract notes, mutual-fund statements, CSV files).
- Or connect your broker live: Broker Names → ⇄ Sync (Zerodha, IBKR, Schwab).
- Or type them in: + Add asset at the top right of the Dashboard or Holdings.
- Fixed deposits and bonds: Invest → FD Tracker → Add FD / Bond.
- Get today's prices. Invest → Holdings → Refresh prices. This fetches share prices and mutual-fund NAVs, and also fills in sectors, dividends and exchange data.
- Fill in price history (once). Holdings → 🩺 Price data → Fix data problems. This downloads past prices so charts, returns and signals work.
- Look at your Dashboard. Overview → Dashboard shows each portfolio's value, today's gain, your allocation and performance.
- Make a backup. Bottom-left menu → Export data saves a file of everything to your computer. (Your data is also saved to the cloud automatically.)
- Optional extras: add a Google Gemini key (Settings → AI) for news and research; link Telegram for daily alerts on your phone (Overview → Alerts).
Your routine — what to do daily, weekly, monthly, yearly
Every day you trade
- Add the day's trades: ⇄ Sync for a connected broker (Zerodha: sign in once a day), or import the contract note.
- Refresh prices on Holdings — every report uses the latest prices.
Every week
- Read Technical Signals → 📅 This week and your Alerts.
- Check the Telegram digest on your phone (if linked).
Every month
- Record income and spending (Money → Income & Expense), check Budgets and Goals.
- Open 🩺 Price data and run Fix data problems if it shows anything to fix.
- Run ⇄ Sync → Fetch & compare for each broker: the Holdings check confirms the app matches your broker.
- Export data to keep an offline backup.
Before the financial year ends (31 March in India, 31 December in the US)
- Open Tax Reports → 🧾 Harvest planner to use your tax-free gain allowance or offset losses.
- Download the year's Gain & Loss, Dividend and Tax reports for your accountant.
Finding your way around the screen
- Left icon bar — the main areas: Overview, Invest, Accounts (accounting), Money (personal finance), Analytics; at the bottom Guide (this page) and Settings.
- Side menu — the pages inside the area you picked. Sections like Import Data, Master Data and Reports open and close with a click.
- Active portfolio (top of the side menu) — choose one portfolio or All Portfolios. Every page follows this choice. Switching never moves you away from the page you are on.
- Account — narrows everything to one broker account (e.g. only the Roth IRA). Leave it on All accounts normally.
- Help & account (bottom of the side menu) — click it to open: User Guide, Settings, Contact Us, Export data, Sign out.
- Top bar — the page title and that page's main buttons (e.g. + Add asset), plus full-screen.
- Collapsible sections (a ▸ arrow) start closed — click the heading to open them.
Portfolios, currencies and accounts
- Portfolio = one owner or entity, in one currency. Create and rename them in Active portfolio → ⚙ Manage portfolios….
- Currency: a ₹ portfolio only accepts ₹ trades; a $ portfolio only $ trades. Imports and syncs refuse trades in the wrong currency and tell you which portfolio to use instead.
- All Portfolios shows one total per currency (₹ total and $ total side by side). Exchange rates in Settings → FX Rates are only for reference — nothing is ever converted for you.
- Accounts (brokerage, Roth IRA, Traditional IRA…) come from Broker Names. Gains and holdings are tracked per account, so the Account filter can show one account alone.
Adding a holding by hand (+ Add asset)
- Choose the right portfolio in Active portfolio.
- Click + Add asset (top right of Dashboard or Holdings).
- Pick the type: Stock, ETF, Mutual Fund, FD/Bond, Retirement, Crypto, Real Estate, Gold, Cash or Other.
- For shares and funds enter the symbol or ISIN, then the purchase date, quantity and price. For an FD enter amount, rate, start and maturity dates.
- Save. Further buys and sells go in Invest → Transactions (or open the holding and use its Transactions tab).
Tip: importing or syncing is faster and more accurate than typing — it brings exact prices, dates and trade numbers.
Importing trades from files (Import Data)
Go to Invest → Import Data. Three kinds of file:
- Stocks & ETFs — Zerodha contract notes (Excel). The app reads every trade plus STT, charges and contract number. For other formats, the AI reader can read a PDF or image (needs a Gemini key).
- Mutual Fund — your CAMS/KFintech consolidated account statement (CAS). Funds bought direct from the fund house are kept without a broker. Checked automatically: for every fund, the app adds the imported units to the statement's opening balance and compares the result with the closing balance printed in the CAS. A green ✓ line means every fund matches. A fund that doesn't match is listed in red, marked Doesn't match statement, and its rows arrive unticked, so a misread can't slip in. Holdings check: the statement lists the closing units of every fund you hold, even ones with no transactions that period. The app compares each one with the units it holds for that person on the statement's end date, counting the rows you're importing. That also makes it a good test with an old statement: only transactions up to that statement's date are counted. A fund that differs is listed in red, with the difference.
- CSV / Generic — any spreadsheet export, including Charles Schwab history (brokerage and IRA accounts). Columns are recognised automatically; you can correct the mapping.
Safe to repeat: every trade is checked against what is already in the app (by trade number, otherwise by date, quantity and price), so importing the same file twice adds nothing. Before saving you see a preview; a restore point is taken automatically, so an unwanted import can be undone from Settings → Local snapshots.
A date the file doesn't state clearly is rejected rather than guessed — fix the row and import again.
Live broker sync — Zerodha (Kite)
Pulls your Zerodha holdings and the day's trades straight from Zerodha.
- Invest → Master Data → Broker Names → on your Zerodha row click ⇄ Sync.
- Choose the portfolio. The box under it shows the Zerodha client ID that portfolio is linked to.
- One-time setup — your own Kite app: follow the steps shown (developers.kite.trade → Create new app → Personal). Paste the API key and secret into WealthAim. The secret is stored encrypted on your own proxy and never shown again. Each Zerodha account needs its own app.
- Connect Zerodha → log in to Kite in the pop-up. Zerodha requires this once a day (the login lasts until 6 AM India time).
- Fetch & compare: today's trades are listed — tick and Add. The Holdings check compares every position with Zerodha.
Catching up on older trades: Zerodha only gives today's trades live. For earlier days, download the tradebook from Zerodha Console (Reports → Tradebook) and use the 📄 Catch up from tradebook tab in the same window. Trades after your last import are ticked; older gaps are listed unticked with their effect on today's holdings.
Live broker sync — Interactive Brokers (IBKR)
- In IBKR Performance & Reports → Flex Queries, create an Activity Flex Query with Trades and Open Positions, period Last 365 Calendar Days, format XML. Note its Query ID.
- In Flex Web Service, enable it and copy the token.
- In WealthAim: Broker Names → IBKR → ⇄ Sync, choose the portfolio in the right currency (e.g. a $ portfolio), save the Query ID and token.
- Fetch & compare. New trades are ticked; Add them. Company names can be filled in with one click.
- IBKR processes trades overnight — today's trades usually appear that evening or the next morning.
- IBKR only gives one year at a time. If the Holdings check shows a difference for shares bought earlier, click Load <earlier year>: the missing older trades appear unticked — tick and Add. Repeat for earlier years.
- “IBKR's Flex service is temporarily down” means IBKR itself is offline (often evenings) — just try later.
Live broker sync — Charles Schwab
- Schwab account setting (required): on Schwab.com go to Trade → Trading Platforms → thinkorswim Desktop and enable thinkorswim for every account. Without it Schwab shares positions but no trade history. It takes effect overnight and only covers trades from then on.
- On developer.schwab.com create an app: product Accounts and Trading Production, Callback URL exactly as shown in the WealthAim Sync window, Order Limit the lowest allowed (WealthAim never places orders). Wait until it says Ready For Use.
- In WealthAim: Broker Names → Charles Schwab → ⇄ Sync, choose your $ portfolio, paste the App Key and Secret, Connect Schwab and tick all your accounts.
- For each Schwab account, choose which Broker Master record it is (brokerage, Roth IRA…), then Fetch & compare and Add the ticked trades.
- Schwab asks you to sign in again every 7 days — the window tells you when.
- Trades from before thinkorswim was enabled must come from a Schwab CSV export (Import Data → CSV / Generic).
- If no trades appear, Diagnose shows exactly what Schwab returned.
- On the first sync after thinkorswim is switched on, Schwab also lists every position you already hold as a “buy” dated that day. WealthAim compares with your holdings and ticks only the trades that are really new; the rest appear under “already in the app”. This works for positions you have sold since, too: a stock you traded in that account that Schwab no longer lists counts as zero shares there.
- Trades you bought and sold between two syncs are listed and ticked like any other new trades, even though your holdings already match — the app needs both to work out the gain and tax.
Transactions, splits, bonuses and mergers
- Invest → Transactions lists every buy, sell, dividend and corporate action. Click a row to edit; deleting asks for confirmation.
- Splits, bonus issues, demergers and mergers are entered as corporate actions on the holding. They adjust quantities and keep your original purchase dates, so holding periods and tax are correct.
- Missed one? Settings → Data management → Check corporate actions compares your trade prices and the exchange's own data and lists likely unrecorded splits/bonuses. Review share splits checks the ones you entered.
- A holding whose price hasn't moved for weeks is flagged on the Alerts page — usually an unrecorded merger or delisting.
Master Data — asset names and broker names
- Asset Names: one row per security — symbol, ISIN, company name, type, sector, industry and market-cap band (Large/Mid/Small/Micro). Fix a wrong name or ISIN here and every portfolio follows. ↻ Fetch sector & cap fills these in.
- Broker Names: your brokers and accounts (e.g. Zerodha, Schwab brokerage, Roth IRA). The Live sync column holds the ⇄ Sync button.
- The same stock held in two portfolios is one security here — prices and charts are stored once and shared, so they always agree.
Fixed deposits and bonds (FD Tracker)
- Invest → FD Tracker → Add FD / Bond: amount, interest rate, compounding, start and maturity dates. Bonds and T-bills too.
- The tracker shows interest earned so far, maturity value and days to maturity. The badge in the menu counts FDs maturing soon.
- At maturity you can roll it over into a new FD in one step.
- Maturities also appear on the Alerts page and (if linked) in your Telegram digest 7 days, 1 day and on the day.
Prices — Refresh prices and the 🩺 Price data console
- Refresh prices (Holdings) fetches current share prices (Yahoo, NSE, BSE) and mutual-fund NAVs (AMFI). It also adds dividends and exchange details. Run it whenever you open the app.
- 🩺 Price data (Holdings or Returns) shows the health of your price history — missing days, wrong-scale prices, gaps — with one button, Fix data problems, that repairs what it can safely repair. It never deletes stored prices in the hope of re-downloading them.
- ⤓ Fetch price history (inside Price data) — one button for all past prices: Yahoo first (main-board and US stocks, crypto; mutual funds from AMFI), then NSE's day-by-day archive for Indian stocks Yahoo can't fill (such as NSE SME “-SM”), then BSE's archive for anything still missing (BSE SME / BSE-only). Choose full daily detail (a few minutes) or a quicker weekly sample.
- 📊 Volume & ranges (inside Price data) downloads daily volume and high/low data used by the technical signals. Run it now and then; a * next to a volume figure means that volume is older than the latest price.
- Charts are shown on today's share scale (splits and bonuses adjusted), so a 1:1 bonus doesn't look like a 50% crash.
Dashboard and Net Worth
- Dashboard: one card per portfolio (in its own currency) with value and today's gain, per-currency totals, the performance chart (compare with Nifty, S&P 500, Dow, Nasdaq…), allocation by type, sector, industry, market cap and fund category, top holdings, FD maturities and a news digest. Widgets can be shown or hidden.
- Net Worth: assets minus liabilities, today and over time.
Holdings page
- Tabs: All, Stocks, ETFs, Mutual Funds, FD / Bonds, Retirement, Crypto, Other.
- Each row: quantity, average cost, current price, value, gain and return. Click a row to open the holding — its Transactions, Technicals (chart) and Notes tabs, plus News and Research.
- Sold-out holdings are hidden; a toggle shows them. They show their realized gain and an XIRR (yearly rate earned from the buys, sells and dividends), the same figure as the Annualized Return report. A dash means the holding was too short to annualise sensibly; hover over it for the reason.
Returns — XIRR, CAGR and return on capital
- Analytics → Returns shows returns for periods (1M, 3M, YTD, 1Y, 3Y, 5Y, financial year) against a benchmark.
- XIRR — your true annual return, taking into account when each rupee or dollar went in and came out. The best single number for “how am I doing”. Mutual-fund IDCW reinvestments are not counted as money you put in — the fund paid the dividend and bought the units with it — so they only show up in the holding’s current value.
- CAGR — the steady yearly growth that turns the starting value into today's value.
- Return on capital — gain divided by the most of your own money that was ever invested at once. Useful when you trade in and out often.
- Absolute return — simple gain as a percentage of cost.
- Same money in the index (Dashboard) — your XIRR compared with what the Nifty 50 (₹ portfolios) or S&P 500 ($ portfolios) would have earned if every amount you put in and took out, on the same dates, had gone into the index instead. With All Portfolios selected you get one line per currency. Indices are price-only (their dividends aren't counted).
- The financial year follows the portfolio: April–March for India, January–December for the US.
Reports — which one to use
All under Invest → Reports; each can be filtered by date range and exported.
- Gain & Loss — realised profit/loss on everything you sold, short- and long-term.
- Stock Register — every buy and sell with holding days, matched first-in-first-out.
- Dividend — dividends received, summary or detail, per holding and account.
- Annualized Return (XIRR) — XIRR per holding and in total.
- Periodic Return — each holding's return over the last 3 months, 6 months, 1, 3, 5 and 10 years, ending on the date you choose. Under a year it is the period's total return; a year or longer is the yearly rate. A dash means you did not own it yet when that period began (hover for the date). Same choices as the XIRR report: as-on date, asset class, current or all holdings.
- Closing Balance Report — your holdings as they stood on any date: quantity, cost, value, gains.
- Contract Note Report — imported contract notes with STT and charges.
- Unrealized Gain Report — paper gains on what you still hold, short- vs long-term.
- Tax Reports — capital-gains figures for the tax return, and the Harvest planner.
- Technical Signals — see Part 4.
Tax Reports and the 🧾 Harvest planner
- Tax Reports split gains into short-term and long-term using the right rules: India (equity, debt funds bought after 1 April 2023 taxed at slab rate, etc.) and the US. The page opens on the current financial year each time. The India tab also shows Dividend income received in the period (taxed at your slab rate, so it is not in the capital-gains tax estimate).
- 🧾 Harvest planner (each portfolio is treated as one taxpayer):
- India: how much long-term gain you can still take tax-free this year (the ₹1.25 lakh allowance), which lots to sell first, losses that can offset gains, and lots about to turn long-term.
- US: loss lots you could sell to save tax, with wash-sale warnings (a repurchase within 30 days — including in your IRAs — cancels the loss).
- These are calculations to discuss with your tax adviser, not tax advice.
Rebalancing and Activity (undo)
- Analytics → Rebalancing: set target percentages (e.g. 60% equity, 30% debt, 10% gold) and see how far you are from them and roughly what to move.
- Overview → Activity: every change you made in this session, with Undo.
Retirement & goal planner (Analytics)
Go to Analytics → Retirement & Goals. It answers two questions: "Will my money last through retirement?" and "Will I have enough for this goal?"
- Pick portfolios: All, or tap one or more. The starting amount is today's value of their stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, FDs and bonds. Gold, real estate, cash and other assets are listed as "Not counted".
- Choose Retirement or Goal. Retirement: your age, retirement age and the age the money should last until. Goal: years until you need the money.
- Fill in the boxes for each currency: monthly expenses (or the goal's cost) in today's money, inflation, expected return, and your monthly SIP with a yearly step-up. Your portfolios' past XIRR is shown under the return box as a reference.
- Read the result: corpus you'll have vs corpus needed, shortfall or surplus, the age your money lasts until, and the monthly SIP (or one-time lump sum) that closes any gap. The chart shows your wealth year by year.
- Save plan to keep it (synced to your account). Pick it later from Saved plans.
₹ and $ are never mixed. If you pick Indian and US portfolios together, you get a separate ₹ plan and $ plan, each with its own expenses, inflation and returns.
These are estimates before tax, with steady returns you choose — real markets go up and down. Change the return by a percent or two to see how sensitive the plan is. On a phone the planner is view-only.
Technical Signals page — how to read it
Invest → Reports → Technical Signals shows one row per stock you hold (debt and liquid funds are left out — their price only rises, so signals mean nothing for them). Hover a column title for its definition.
- Trend — Uptrend / Downtrend / Sideways from the price against its 50- and 200-day averages.
- RSI (14) — momentum from 0 to 100. 70+ overbought, 30 or less oversold.
- vs 50-DMA / 200-DMA — how far the price is above or below its 50- and 200-day moving averages.
- 52W H/L and From 52W high — the year's highest and lowest close.
- Rel vol — today's volume compared with the 20-day average; ATR % — typical daily range.
- Pattern — chart patterns found by rule (double bottom/top, cup & handle, flags) with a match %. ✓ confirmed = the price has closed through the trigger; target reached = the expected move has already happened.
Filter chips: Uptrend, Downtrend, Overbought, Oversold, Breakout (a close above the highest close of 20 or 55 sessions), Cross (20d) (50-day average crossed the 200-day in the last 20 sessions — “golden” up, “death” down), Volume confirmed (a breakout on 1.5× volume), Pattern, Near trigger (a strong pattern within 5% of confirming), Pattern confirmed (confirmed and target still ahead).
Click 📈 on a row for the full chart. Everything here is information, not advice to buy or sell.
📅 This week and 📊 Backtest
- 📅 This week (Signals page) lists what changed in the last 5 sessions — new crosses, RSI moving into or out of extremes, patterns confirmed, broken or reaching their target. ✨ Write summary asks the AI to describe it in plain words.
- 📊 Backtest shows how each signal actually performed on your stocks in the past — the average return 5, 20 and 60 sessions later compared with normal, and a verdict for each. Use it to judge which signals deserve your attention.
A stock's chart (Technicals tab)
- Open a holding → Technicals: price with 50- and 200-day averages, 52-week high/low lines, volume (green up-days, red down-days) and RSI underneath. Choose 3M, 6M, 1Y or Max.
- The boxes on the right: trend, RSI, MACD, volatility, volume, ATR (with a 2-ATR stop level), true 52-week high, and returns over 1 week to 1 year.
- Chart patterns: each with its drawing, neckline, Target and Fails below levels — all computed by the app. When the target has been reached it says ✓ reached and Played out. ✨ Explain gives an AI explanation using these exact figures.
AI features — news, research and Explain
- Needs your own free Google Gemini API key: Settings → AI. It is stored on this device only.
- News (on a holding and the Dashboard digest) — recent news found with Google search.
- Research (on a holding) — a 10-section research report you can save as a PDF. Its questions can be edited in Settings. The financial figures are not left to the AI's memory: the app loads the company's filed statements (annual and quarterly, up to the latest period), works out growth, margins, ROE, P/E and price-to-book itself, and the AI must quote those. A section marked Outdated — regenerate was written under older rules; regenerate it for current data. Valuation (Inexpensive / Fair / Expensive) is decided by the app, not the AI: the P/E on the latest full-year earnings is both on trailing-twelve-month earnings: compared with the company's own typical P/E over the stored price history (within 20% = fair), and with how fast the last twelve months' earnings grew on the year before (PEG = P/E ÷ growth: under 1 cheap, over 2 expensive); and with the industry's median P/E from screener.in's peer table (±20%); with all three checks a two-vote margin decides, otherwise Fair — shown with its numbers at the top of the Valuation section and in the PDF. Growth is computed the same way — earnings per share over the last twelve months vs the twelve months before (20%+ High, 8–20% Moderate, under 8% Low), with revenue growth shown alongside. Fundamentals too: net and operating margin (last 12 months vs the year before), ROE (vs the two years before), debt/equity and cash conversion each count as improving, steady or worse; +2 or more is Strengthening, −2 or less Weakening, otherwise Stable.
- ✨ Explain (patterns) and ✨ Write summary (This week).
- Rules the AI follows: the app calculates every number and the AI only explains them; it never says buy, sell or hold; and your quantities, costs and profits are never sent.
Alerts page and the daily Telegram digest
Overview → Alerts collects what needs your attention: FD maturities, EMIs and recurring items due, holdings that stopped trading, oversold/overbought shares, fresh crosses, patterns near their trigger or confirmed. Each line has a Review button that opens the matching list.
Daily alerts on your phone (Telegram, Pro):
- Install Telegram on your phone.
- On the Alerts page click 📲 Link Telegram and open the link — the bot replies “Linked to WealthAim”.
- Choose what you want: big daily moves (set the %), RSI crossing 70/30, new 52-week highs/lows, patterns confirmed or broken, FD maturities, EMIs, recurring items, and a one-line note on quiet days.
- One message after the Indian market closes and one after the US close, on trading days. The times are shown on the Alerts page in your time zone.
- It keeps working when WealthAim is closed. Last check on the Alerts page shows what the last run did.
- Only stock names and market levels are sent to Telegram — never your quantities or values.
- Send test checks the link; Unlink (or /stop in Telegram) turns it off.
Personal finance — liabilities, income & expense, budgets, goals
- Liabilities — loans and credit: balance, rate and EMI due date (EMIs appear in Alerts and Telegram).
- Income & Expense — record income and spending by category.
- Budgets — a monthly limit per category, with progress bars.
- Goals — targets such as education or retirement, with a target amount and date, and your progress.
- Recurring — regular items (SIP, rent, insurance) with reminders.
- Income Calendar — expected dividends, interest and maturities by month.
- Cash & Bank — balances of your bank and cash accounts. (These entries are standalone and don't post to the accounting ledgers.)
Accounting (double-entry books)
For people who keep proper books (for example an HUF or a business). It is separate from the investment pages.
- Account Group and Account Names — set up your chart of accounts (banks, income, expenses, capital…).
- Enter vouchers: Bank Register, Cash Register and Journal Voucher. Each voucher has a financial-year selector and shows the running balance as you type. The Bank Register can also import a bank statement and remembers how you categorised each narration.
- Read the reports: Day Book, Bank/Cash/Journal registers, Account Ledger, Trial Balance, Group Summary, Income & Expense and Balance Sheet.
Vouchers belong to the active portfolio. Income and expense accounts restart each financial year; assets and liabilities carry forward. With All Portfolios selected, each currency gets its own set of books.
Backups, restore points and cloud versions
Your data is saved automatically, in several layers:
- Cloud — every change is saved to your account within seconds, so any device you sign in on shows the same data.
- Cloud versions — Settings → Data management → Cloud versions. Earlier copies kept in the cloud (one per 10 minutes, the last 30, plus one a day for 30 days). Restore works from any computer.
- Local snapshots — daily restore points on this computer, plus one before every import or restore.
- Export data (bottom-left menu) — a file you keep yourself. Do this monthly.
To restore: open Cloud versions or Local snapshots, pick the newest entry whose counts (portfolios, holdings, transactions) look right, click Restore. The data you replace is kept as a version too, so a restore can itself be undone.
Built-in protection: if the app is ever about to replace your cloud data with a largely different set of data, it stops and asks — choose Cancel unless you have just restored or imported on purpose.
Moving to a new web address (wealthaim.net) or a new browser
Your portfolios, transactions and settings are saved to your account, so they appear as soon as you sign in at the new address. Price history is not — it is large and is kept only in each browser, separately for each web address. Without it, charts and returns look short until it is restored.
- Before switching, at the old address: Export data (sidebar) to save a fresh backup file.
- Open wealthaim.net and sign in. Your holdings load from the cloud.
- Go to Settings → Data management → Restore price history and choose that backup file. Only prices are merged — nothing else is touched. No backup? Download it again instead: Holdings → 🩺 Price data → ⤓ Fetch price history (a few minutes for a large portfolio).
- Re-enter your Gemini AI key in Settings → AI (it is kept per browser too).
- On a phone, delete the old home-screen icon and add a new one from wealthaim.net (Share → Add to Home Screen).
Use only the new address from then on, so the prices stored each day build up in one place. If the app finds no price history after you sign in, it reminds you with a message.
More than one login, family members and test accounts
- Each email login has its own separate data. One login can hold many portfolios — usually that is all a family needs.
- The app remembers which login each copy of data belongs to, and never shows or uploads one login's data under another.
- To keep a second login fully separate on the same computer, open it with
?ws=testat the end of the address, or use a private window or another browser. - Always use Sign out (bottom-left menu) before handing the computer to someone else.
Free and Pro plans
- Free: 1 portfolio, 20 holdings and a few price refreshes a day.

Using WealthAim on your phone
- Open the same address in your phone browser and sign in. Everything you entered on the computer is there.
- The phone is view-only: you can browse every page and report, but adding, editing and importing are done on a computer. This keeps small-screen slips from changing your data.
- The bottom tab bar has Home, Invest, Accounts, Money, Analytics and Menu (the full side menu).
- Add it to your home screen (Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen) to open it like an app.
Settings — what each section does
- Display — base currency and number format.
- FX Rates — reference exchange rates (never used to convert your figures).
- AI — your Gemini key and the research questionnaire.
- Live data proxy — the address of your price/sync proxy (set up once by the administrator).
- Security — change your password.
- Data management — export/import, restore price history, corporate-action checks, local snapshots, cloud versions, clear data, and App build (shows which version you are running, with ↻ Reload app).
Troubleshooting — common questions
Prices didn't update. Click Refresh prices again; free price sources are sometimes busy. If one holding never updates, check its symbol/ISIN in Master Data.
A number differs from my broker. Run ⇄ Sync → Fetch & compare: the Holdings check shows which position differs and by how much — usually a missing trade or an unrecorded split/bonus.
A chart has a sudden spike or drop. Open 🩺 Price data → Fix data problems. If a split or bonus is missing, record it (or use Check corporate actions).
I see someone else's / old data. Don't edit anything. Settings → Cloud versions → restore the newest version with the right counts.
A new feature isn't showing. Your browser may be showing an old copy. Settings → App build → ↻ Reload app (or press ⌘⇧R / Ctrl+Shift+R).
No Telegram message today. Check Alerts → Last check: it says whether the exchange file was late, the market was closed, or nothing crossed your levels.
Broker sync says no trades. Zerodha: sign in again (daily). IBKR: trades appear after IBKR's overnight processing. Schwab: thinkorswim must be enabled; use Diagnose.
I can't edit on my phone. That's intended — phones are view-only.
